DENVER -- Joint Effort Prime Time Hoops released information on the Joint Effort – Donnie Wilson Memorial Denver Pro-Am Summer Basketball League to be played at the Hiawatha Davis Recreation Center, 3334 Holly Street.

This highly competitive, NCAA sanctioned, adult men’s league will run from June through August.  The league is open to graduating high school seniors, college and professional players.  Some of the top players in the area, including Denver Nuggets guard Chauncey Billups, will be competing in the league. 

The Joint Effort Donnie Wilson Memorial Denver Pro-Am Summer Basketball League kicked off with pre-season conditioning and open gym on June 1.  Open gym will continue Monday through Thursday at 6 p.m. and Saturdays at 10 a.m.  The league will officially begin play on Tuesday, June 15.

In addition to the Pro-Am Summer League, Joint Effort will also be hosting advanced player development workouts.  Beginning May 31 and running through August 6 the workouts will be held daily from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and will be conducted at the Hiawatha Davis Recreation Center. 

The workouts are open to boys and girls ages 8 – 17.  They will be offensively oriented with extensive shooting instruction and will train players in conditioning, running and jumping. 

Workouts are available as individual or small group sessions and each player will receive personal coaching and confidence building.
